Now, screaming expletives has become a legitimate form of playing, thanks to Visceral Games, the developer behind the Dead Space series.
In an interview with CVG, Visceral producer Steve Papoutsis revealed that there were certain “secret vocal commands” that players could unlock by… shouting at their Kinect. “There are commands where you might be in a certain situation and you might yell a specific expletive and it might behave in a way that you want it to,” he explained.
These voice commands will be the only part of Dead Space 3 that “Better with Kinect” entails. Papoutsis stated that since gestures weren’t integral to the Dead Space 3 experience, motion control wouldn’t be included in the game.
While swearing loudly at the television isn’t something that’s necessarily new to gamers, it might be for the first time a valid way to play a game…
