DESIGN

The enV2’S has a clamshell design and comes in dark maroon or black color. It’s a bulky phone in comparison to the much sleeker and slimmer phones out. The phone’s dimensions are 10.1 x 5.3 x 1.6 cm and weighs about 119 grams. The sleek external face is framed in a glossy chrome trim. Above the 3.8 cm LCD screen you will find the earpieces and below the screen is the well spaced keypad to let users type easily and comfortably. The keypads are fitted with a white back light and also includes dedicated music player keys, down/up scrolling, vibrate mode, voice-activated commands, lock/ unlock, speaker phones, power / end and send message. Below the magnificent screen sits two soft keys to access contacts and messaging functions. The back of the phone has a matte finish where the camera, internal antenna and camcorder lens resides. Below is a 950 mAh battery and at the bottom edge, the charge port and microphone. Bottom left has a hole where the hand strap can be attached. The enV2 has four resolution for its 2 mega-pixel camera. 1280 x 960 px, 320 x 240 px, 1600 x 1200 px, 640 x 480 px. Users have many choices such as White Balance, 10x Zoom, Night mode, Brightness, Color Effect, Self-Timer (3, 5 or 10 seconds) Shutter Sounds and a Self-Portrait mode. The enV2 camcorder records 30 seconds video clip for sending and about an hour to save on the phone. You are able to shoot videos in 176 x 144 px or 320 x240 px resolutions. Save in MP4, 3GP, WMV or 3G2 formats. Videos below 5MB can be set as an animated wallpaper. The enV2 has no flash but with the right setting will take good pictures.

enV2’s internal screen is much larger and measuring 1.5 X 2.4 inches and is perfect for viewing videos and pictures. Lighting on both the screens is strong as images can easily be viewed in bright lighting.

The audio quality is excellent whether you use headphones or not. MP3 tracks are clear and loud from the speakers which are located on either side of the large internal LCD screen. The LG enV2 operates by digital dual-band network. Other audio features are one-touch speakerphone, speaker-independent voice dialing, conference calling and voice recording. This phone is preloaded with 23 ringtones.

MESSAGING

Since the enV2 is not a smart phone you will be able browse the basics news headlines, weather, and sport scores with Verizon’s version.

STORAGE

The enV2 provides 63 MB internal memory. You can use a 8GB microSD card if you need more storage to store those extra music, video and picture files. The enV2 stores 300 text messages and the phonebook stores 1000 contacts which includes five numbers, photo ID and two email for each contact.

CONNECTIVITY

The enV2 supports Bluetooth v 1.2 which has the ability to save 20 Bluetooth profiles and supports headsets, dial-up networking, most hands-free devices, advanced audio distribution, phonebook access, printing and user-generated images, file transfer sending data used for vCalendars and vCards.
