Google Nexus One VS Apple IPhone

Is the Google Nexus One for You?
The hype about the Google Nexus One phone was enough that practically every tech-savvy phone owner was drooling over the possibility of getting one. As always in these circumstances, the rumours proved to be a little more tempting than the reality, with talk of $200 unlocked phones soon being shot down. It could be tempting, in the circumstances, to go to the opposite extreme and suggest that no one needs this phone while Apple’s iPhone is out there. Instead, let’s take a careful look at both, and try to find areas where each wins out.
Applications
The Google Nexus One is up against stiff competition here. The Apple iPhone is rightly famous for its array of apps, and programmers have had since 2007 to come up with effective ones. In its corner, the Nexus has the fact that it is using an existing open source operating system in the form of Android, and that Google seems to have made sure that there will be a fairly good initial menu of applications to choose from. Combined with the speed at which new apps for both formats will probably be produced, there seems to be little to choose between them here.
Specifications
It can be easy to get too hung up on the specifications of new gadgets, but most of the time the differences don’t make that big an impact on your experience using them. Who will really notice, for example, that the Google Nexus One’s screen is 0.2” bigger than the iPhone 3G’s? There are two differences that you might notice though. Google’s smart phone offers 4GB of SD memory to either 16 or 32GB of flash memory on the iPhone, giving Apple’s option a significant advantage when it comes to storage. It loses out though in the battery stakes, offering similar life to the Nexus in most areas, but only five hours of talk time to the other handset’s ten.
Camera Options
One other area in which there seems to be a clear difference is in the two phones’ camera modes, where Google’s offering gives you 5-megapixel and Apple iPhone only gives you 3-megapixel, along with a digital zoom function. It means that the Nexus One can function on a level comparable with most decent compact digital cameras, along with the more basic SLRs. Whether that would be one of your primary considerations in buying a phone is perhaps debatable, but if you’re the sort of person who likes to snap away on a mobile, it might make the difference.
Should You Switch?
Even in terms of price, there isn’t that much to choose between the two smart phones, with the 16GB iPhone being only $20 more expensive than the contract version of the Nexus One, which is the one most people will probably want, given the expense of the $529 unlocked version.
So, you probably won’t buy Google’s Nexus One if you already own an iPhone. On the other hand, there’s no reason why, if you find yourself looking for your first smart phone, you shouldn’t give it some serious consideration.

HTC EVO 4G Android Smartphone Review

HTC has always been a brand which has brought out new revolutions in the Smartphone market. HTC EVO 4G is one such exemplary product from the brand, which is the first WiMax-enabled Smartphone introduced in the Unites States. HTC EVO 4G boasts of a 4.3 inch display which is comfortable and wide enough to guarantee a seamless usage of various applications, viewing of videos, usage of internet, etc. An attractive camera of 8 megapixels and a front-facing camera of 1.3 megapixels adorn the Smartphone, enhancing its utility quotient. The product boasts of 3G/4G mobile hotspot capability, while the operating system used is Android 2.1.
One of the most praiseworthy features of HTC EVO 4G is its attractive 4.3-inch WVGA display. The touchscreen display of this phone is considerably bigger than many of its market counterparts. It is always comfortable for Smartphone users to have the display as large as possible and this remarkable product is a major success on that front. The touchscreen display is known to a bit over-responsive in the sense that it opens up the inbox or an application following a very slight touch with your fingers, or even when they are almost touching the screen. This could be an irritant to amateur users.
HTC EVO 4G does not have a physical keyboard. What it possesses is a virtual keyboard which is much more comfortable to use than any other Smartphone, owing to its very large display. The design and build of HTC EVO 4G is slick and stylish. It is quite tall and wide, but not bulky. Moreover, it is a simple design without any unnecessary frills, such as flaps. Almost whole of the Smartphone is black in colour, except for some parts which are grey, and the red accents which border around the camera lens and the kickstand. Talking about the kickstand, it is one of those features of the product which is unique and adds a certain zing to it. The fact that the feature works in landscape mode makes the video and movie watching experience in the Smartphone a wonderful experience. Yet, the kickstand option does not work properly in portrait mode. Although you can balance the phone in this mode, but there are chances that it may trip down and fall if you touch its display.
So, what would be the pros and cons of HTC EVO 4G? The biggest advantage of the product, as mentioned earlier, is its comfortably large and stunning display. The performance of the phone has been found to be excellent. Yet another pro is the kickstand which we have mentioned before. Coming to the disadvantages, the first mention should be made about the size of HTC EVO 4G. Its large size will not be popular amongst people who prefer small, elegant looking handsets. The voice quality of this product is also known to be of mediocre quality. On the whole, considering the overall quality, reliability, and usability, HTC EVO 4G is a brilliant product which would be a highly satisfying buy for all Smartphone lovers across the globe.

Nokia 808 Pureview 41 MP Camera Smartphone Review

First things first! Nokia 808 PureView might be a normal Smartphone from outside, but the camera quality it offers is astounding at 41 megapixels. Can you imagine that on a normal mobile phone? Maybe not! Adding jazz to the ensemble is a full HD 1080p recording capability which makes Nokia 808 PureView stand out from the rest of the smartphones available in the market. Let us have a detailed look at the features and specifications of the phone. To be frank, the design of Nokia 808 PureView is nothing great. The statement is based on the fact that the design is not unique or futuristic. The plastic build of the handsets reminds us of some of the basic smartphones of Nokia, thus lending a somewhat shabby and unsophisticated look to the phone. Well, in that scenario, what would force or push someone to buy something which is not-so-sleek-looking in today’s appearance-obsessed world? The reason to buy this handset must be 100% attributed to the scintillating camera which comes along with it. A 41 Megapixels camera is no child’s play. It could be used even for professional photography effortlessly. How comfortable it would be to carry such a superb quality camera in your pocket or handbag? Although the label says 41 MP, in reality we will be able to take pictures up to 34 MP and can zoom it to unbelievable levels. There are several commendable settings of Nokia 808 PureView, such as the ISO Levels which can be varied to even 1600, thus making it a proper substitute for the traditional camera. The picture quality thus provided by the handset is spectacular, with no or very less noise or pixellation.
Coming to the other features, Nokia 808 PureView boasts of Dolby headphone technology accompanying Nokia Rich Recording Mic technology. This feature will allow you the luxury of capturing sounds in the handset with least interference. The smartphone possesses a 4-inch camera. Having the camera as a prominent feature, you might have expected the screen to be a bit bigger. Nevertheless, the images are clear, bright, and sharp, offering us very little room to complain regarding the same. The processor that runs inside this state-of-the-art product is a single-core 1.3 Ghz one. Although it does not have one of those super-efficient processors, the user interface offered by the handset operates extremely well. On the other hand, the time taken to load the camera is not that swift. This is certainly a minus for a product which is known predominantly for its camera quality.
All said and done, Nokia 808 PureView could well be the market leader amongst the Symbian range of phones. Now with the Android phenomenon booming in the market, there might not be many takers for a Symbian phone. But, when a pioneer brand like Nokia introduces a product like 808 PureView, which boasts of a superior quality camera which is not seen in many smartphones, the gamble of purchasing it would certainly be worth it. As for the appearance, it may not be a classy looking phone. But, where usability is concerned, Nokia 808 PureView is something extremely dishy! As it is said, to judge a book, not by its story, but its cover, is something undesirable. Go for this product, which showcases top-of-the-heap technology, albeit in a simple appearance and exterior.
Feel free to check out some of the pictures taken with this 41 megapixel smartphone (Nokia 808 Pureview):

Windows Smartphone Nokia Lumia 900

Nokia Lumia 900 is one of the latest and most advanced Nokia’s smartphone that was released few months ago. They advertised it as “Bigger, Faster and more Powerful”  than its predecessors. It was commercially available in the US back on April 2012, but it was only available here in Malaysia on early June. According to a post from malaysianwireless.com, the main reason for the delayed was because this Windows phone was selling like hot cakes in the United States thus making Nokia to delay its release on other countries. Every Nokia Lumia fans are eager to get their hands on the Nokia Lumia 900 smartphone ever since its official release here in Malaysia.
This Nokia Lumia 900 review which will guide you through its most advanced hardware and features. Moreover, you will able to decide that you should buy this smartphone or not. Let’s start.
Nokia Lumia 900 ScreenNokia Lumia 900 is a big, quality screen smartphone that possesses a stylish OS. Its interface is also quite impressive. If we start with its core hardware, then we will find this Lumia smartphone has a single core processor of 1.4GHz, 512MB RAM and 16GB of onboard storage memory. On other hand, on this core hardware it is running the latest available Microsoft Windows Phone 7.5 Mango operating system which gives smooth performance incorporation with its hardware. Due to its operating system limitation, this Lumia smartphone also doesn’t have a microSD card slot to expand its memory and Nokia is not responsible for this. But whatever, no memory expandability adds a negative impression to Nokia Lumia 900.
Nokia Lumia 900 Graphic
If we talk about the hardware supporting the graphics, we will find it has Adreno 205 on its board. There are other smartphones also which has incorporated same Adreno 205 but it could have better. Still, it offers high quality graphics output. The display review of Nokia Lumia 900 is also pretty cool as it possesses a 4.3 inches AMOLED capacitive touchscreen which supports 16M colors and a good resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. With its dimensions as 127.8 x 68.5 x 11.5 mm and weight of 160 g, it looks pretty impressive and sleeker as well. But it could be lighter as there exists few smartphone which only have weight around 130 g and have similar dimensions and we have a best example Samsung Galaxy S II but that phone belongs to Droid family.
Nokia Lumia 900 Camera
In camera configuration review Nokia Lumia 900 score plus points as it have two on-board cameras from which 8MP rear facing camera with dual-LED flash and another one is 1MP secondary camera. We have observed that as this phone carries an 8MP camera which can only record 720p HD video recording but there exists few smartphone with 8MP camera which could record 1080p full HD video recording. But you can ignore this if you are not lover of high definition video. The battery rating review of this Lumia 900 is normal because after having a heavy capacity 1830 mAh standard Li-Ion battery it could just deliver the battery backup up to 7 h but offers 60 h of music play. If you are satisfy with the ratings of Nokia Lumia 900 review then you must go with this smartphone but at present Android has better scope and options rather than Windows phone.

The Eye-Tracking Technology

One of the best feature available on the Samsung S4 has to be its Eye-Tracking technology, which includes Eye Scrolling for easier reading and Eye Recognition feature for active mode and avoid screen going into standby mode.

Unleashed Your Jedi Power With Sony Ericsson T707

Hello, fellow readers. It’s been a while since my last post. I’ve been caught up with some works. Let us take a look at this gorgeous and stunning new clamshell cell phone – Sony Ericsson T707. Personally, when I first look at this mobile phone, I think it’s too girly for me. No offense, girls..In my opinion, this Sony Ericsson T707 is suitable for younger teenage girls just like those in Hannah Montana; playful and sexy..hehe.
The Sony Ericsson T707 is using a clamshell design to make it look gorgeous. Besides the stunning design, it also support an awesome technology which is Gesture Control. For example, if you’re busy doing something when the phone rang, you just have to wave your hand above the cell phone to end the call. It work on alarm clock too, when the phone’s alarm clock rang, wave your hand on the cell phone and it’s off. Feels like a Jedi power is in me…hehe.
You can also set up a different background lighting color for your incoming call list. There are 3 choices, which are Lucid Blue (friends and family), Spring Rose (maybe your boy friend or special one..) and Mysterious Black (someone you hate..just kidding)..It’s up to you to decide which color setting is for who.
